Position: Marketing Events Manager
Location: Niceville, FL (Hybrid)
Hiring Range (Salary): $65,000 - $75,000 annually

Position Summary:
This position requires a highly organized and creative team member to lead MSI's events programs (including conferences, trade shows, company events, webinars, etc.). The Marketing Events Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing impactful events that enhance our brand, engage our target audiences, and drive business growth. The ideal candidate has a strong background in event management, a focus on details, and a passion for creating memorable experiences that align with our marketing goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Event Strategy & Planning: Develop, plan, and execute a robust events strategy that aligns with our brand and marketing initiatives. Collaborate with the marketing team and sales team to set event goals, identify target audiences, and ensure consistent messaging. Consistently look for new event opportunities that align with MSI’s overall marketing and business development strategies.  
  • Event Overview Documentation: Capture comprehensive details for each event, including description, size, audience demographics, and location. Prepare and distribute an event overview document to approvers, planners, and attendees to ensure alignment. 
  • Return on Investment: Implement and maintain a system for measuring event ROI. Use this system to make on-going strategic event decisions. 
  • Event Logistics/Execution: Manage the end-to-end event lifecycle, including vendor coordination, event logistics, material shipping, budgeting, booth selection, agenda creation, and on-site support as needed, to deliver smooth and impactful experiences for MSI’s attending teams. Lead event planning meetings. Maintain a system of clear, consistent communication with attending teams to ensure teams are organized and informed of important event details.  
  • Audience Engagement & Lead Generation: Design interactive experiences and meaningful touchpoints to engage audiences and drive booth traffic. Work with the sales and marketing teams to ensure effective lead capture and follow-up strategies. 
  • Branding and Event MessagingDevelop and produce all event-related materials, including signage, handouts, banners, sponsorship advertisements, pre-event promotional pieces, and branded giveaways. Ensure every asset aligns with MSI’s visual identity and messaging standards, maintaining consistency across all touchpoints. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to manage timelines, review proofs, and ensure high-quality output that reinforces MSI’s value to target audiences. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as marketing, sales, services leads, etc. to develop cohesive event messaging for materials and integrate events within the broader marketing strategy. 
  • Budgeting & Financial Management: Oversee event budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and track expenses to ensure events are cost-effective and yield a strong return on investment. Maintain a consistent, organized system for tracking invoices and budget status.  
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Track and report on key performance metrics (KPIs), such as leads generated and post-event feedback, to assess event success and identify improvement areas. 
  • Presentation/Speaking Engagements: Consistently look for new speaking opportunities for MSI’s thought leaders. Own the process for creating submission materials and work with Subject Matter Experts and the marketing team to create compelling presentations.  
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for all event-related inquiries and updates. Keep teams informed of event logistics, inventory status, and final preparations through regular communication and planning meeting cadences. Coordinate discussions and planning sessions well in advance to outline event goals, swag needs, and logistics. Ensure that all event assets, branding, and materials align with the company’s updated branding standards.  
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field preferred. 
  • 6+ years of professional experience in planning and leading events in a B2B Corporate environment required. 
  • Experience working with and gaining buy-in from sales and leadership teams. 
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret data, measure ROI, and effectively communicate results to stakeholders. 
  • Deep knowledge of event shipping logistics and best practices. 
  • Lead the creation of event signage, collaborating with graphic design consultants and print vendors to produce on-brand materials. 
  • Exceptional communication, project management, and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to provide visual booth/event space and signage mock-ups using Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools. 
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to operate independently and confidently report progress. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Proficient in using project planning tools, including Asana and Microsoft Lists.  
  • Proven project and budget management expertise and attention to detail. 
  • A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude. 
  • Ability and flexibility to travel up to 25% and work overtime as needed to attend events and client meetings (including some weekends). 
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.  
  • Regular (though not daily) attendance in the Niceville, FL office is required.
