Location: Orange County (California) Area
Hire Range: $105,000 - $125,000 

Position Summary:
The Proposal Marketing Manager has a critical role in developing and executing MOCA’s proposal marketing processes, systems and assets. The Proposal Marketing Manager collaborates with office leadership and the Business Development Director to develop high-quality proposals and maintain assets to promote and support the winning of work and the external image of MOCA. The Marketing Manager Proposal ensures efficiency, consistency, and quality in proposal deliverables while promoting interoffice collaboration and standardization.  This is a hybrid role but will require period working days in our local Irvine, CA offices.  

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Thoughtful management, preparation, oversight, coordination, and production of qualifications packages, proposals, presentation materials, competition entries, and awards submissions.
  • Keeps a critical eye on the quality, thoughtfulness and craft of each proposal and marketing initiative.
  • Oversees all aspects of the office’s marketing materials in the pursuit of new clients and project opportunities.
  • Leads the development and refinement of proposal marketing workflows, software systems, and tools to enhance efficiency, simplicity and accessibility.
  • Manages proposal marketing assets via the firm’s asset management system (OpenAsset) and all related content and templates.
  • Proactively works with office leaders and discipline leaders to develop high-quality written content including project descriptions, firm narratives, resume bios, service offering descriptions, and other promotional material.
  • Collect and ensure accuracy and consistency of project data on all outgoing proposals and materials.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations for the improvement of project photography and visual assets. Coordinate with project leaders to acquire high-quality imagery either through project team members / partners, or by directly hiring and managing professional photographers.
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, use, and quality control of resumes, firm profiles, brochures, project tear sheets, presentations, and aware submissions to ensure a cohesive and high-quality brand image and strong competitive positioning.
  • Mentors colleagues when it comes to marketing and storytelling.
  • Manages project photo shoots and corporate event productions.
  • Supports leadership in business development activities including necessary preparations for proposal development and project interviews.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience within the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry is required.

    • Ability to work periodically from the company’s local offices in Irvine, CA.
